Newly refurbished facilities ready for action

Starling Aerospace has carried out major improvements to its facilities and invested in new technologies to improve efficiencies and increase production capabilities. From the shop floor through to the offices the company has all the technologies, equipment and skilled technicians in place to carry out every aspect of aircraft interiors with shorter lead times and an even higher standard of customer service.

With the latest 3D CAD rendering software that can produce photographic level renderings coupled with 3D printing capabilities, Starling Aerospace can bring first article concepts in real time with prototypes. This enables clients to visualise and approval design concepts prior to production saving valuable time.

Investment has been made into a new automated Aqua Transfer Printing and rinse tank. The super-large 1.2 metre x 3.4 metre tank with robotic arm, automated film lay and activation system, enables Starling Aerospace to print in one dip full sized side ledges, bulkheads and sliding doors.

The new Five Axis CNC router has  enhanced our  in-house composite production 3D  compound curve tooling can be produced directly from design data that enables large-scale composite structure to be producedA Four Axis machining centre has also been installed for aluminium components  that supports our proprietary seating and composite products . In addition, investment has been made into a Gerber automated CNC leather and fabric cutter to complement in-house seat  cover  manufacturing capability.

As part of the overall investment Starling Aerospace has refurbished its shop floor with designated areas for each stage of production. Latest additions include a prep room for paint, a polish room and a Tedlar Room which will provide a valuable contribution to the repair and overhaul of sidewalls and window panels.
