Aqua Transfer gets bigger and better at Starling Aerospace

Starling Aerospace is introducing its new Aqua Transfer capabilities at Aircraft Interiors Expo 10th – 12th April 2018 (stand number 7A80). The leading aircraft interior manufacturers will also be displaying its latest product range.

Starling Aerospace’s latest advancement in Aqua Transfer enables large-scale aircraft interior parts such as bulk heads, sliding doors, side ledges and credenzas to be covered in just one dip. The new super-sized (1.2m x 3.4m) tank features state of the art technologies including a robotic arm, activation system and automated film lay to achieve best quality Aqua Transfer in record time.

Coralie Wigg, Commercial Director and Co-founder of Starling Aerospace states: “This is the latest example of how we are combining our EASA approvals with new technology to allow aircraft interior products to be released to Aviation Standards complying with Heat Release, Smoke Density and delivered with Form 1 release documents.  Our aim is to provide high quality products, repetitive finishes, shorter lead times and unbeatable customer service.”

To demonstrate their Aqua Transfer capabilities at Aircraft Interiors Expo, Starling Aerospace will be displaying a whole dry bar finished in a fiddleback maple wood look effect. Visitors to the stand will also see Starling Aerospace’s own aircraft interior product range including the Berthable Divan (available as a single, double, triple or as required), the versatile Hilo Table (electric and manual) and its latest release, the VIP Track and Swivel Seat certified for 9G and 16G.

The VIP Track and Swivel Seat designed, manufactured and certified by Starling Aerospace, lies flat at 179°, turns 359° and accommodates passengers over 6ft in height. The aircraft seat also tracks sideways, backwards and forwards to optimise passenger space for recline and relaxation. This impressive aircraft seat meets the latest aircraft regulations without compromise on style or comfort.

Visitors will be able to see first-hand upholstery completed by Starling Aerospace’s in-house trim shop that is 16G approved. Both the VIP Track and Swivel Seat and Berthable Divan will be on show in cream with blue leather piping and twin stitching. The Hilo Table will also feature the same colour scheme.

Starling Aerospace carries EASA approvals for Design: UK21J.538, Manufacturing: UK21G.2581, and Repair & Overhaul: UK145.01249.
